Khamami Apresiasi Warga Serahkan Senpi Ilegal

Mesuji (Lampung) — Bupati Mesuji Khamami mengapresiasi masyarakat yang
memiliki senjata api (senpi) ilegal, yang menyerahkan secara sukarela
kepada pihak berwajib, beberapa waktu yang lalu, Bupati Khamami memang
menginstruksikan kepada seluruh camat dan kepala desa agar melakukan
kepada warganya yang masih memiliki senpi tanpa izin yang sah untuk
segera menyerahkan kepada Polisi maupun TNI.
Hal ini untuk mengantisipasi terjadinya tindak kriminalitas dan
keributan yang dapat menimbulkan korban akibat penggunaan senpi ilegal.
Seperti dicontohkannya peristiwa baku tembak antara pam swakarsa PT
Prima Alumga dan kelompok warga di Desa Sungai Cambai baru-baru ini.
Atas prestasi ini, Khamami mengucapkan terima kasih atas kerjasama
seluruh pihak, baik camat, kepala desa, kepolisian, dan TNI yang tidak
henti-henti melakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat.
“Saya mengucapkan terima kasih dan apresiasi kepada warga yang dengan
sukarela telah menyerahkan senpi ilegal yang mereka miliki. Bagi warga
yang belum menyerahkan, saya himbau agar segera diserahkan ke pihak
berwajib, sebelum dilakukan tindakan oleh aparat penegak hukum, karena
jelas sesuai UU Darurat Nomor 12 Tahun 1951, ancaman hukumannya penjara
20 tahun atau seumur hidup,” terang Khamami di rumah dinasnya, Rabu 09 Agustus 2017. (inspiratif.co.id)
