Penadandatanganan MoU ini berlangsung di Hotel Emersia Bandarlampung, Selasa 31 Januari 2017.
Dijelaskan Karo Humas dan Protokol Bayana, dalam kesempatan tersebut Gubernur Lampung M. Ridho Ficardo diwakili Staf Ahli Bidang Pemerintahan, Hukum dan Politik Theresia Sormin. Dikatakannya, hakikat HAM merupakan upaya menjaga keselamatan eksistensi manusia secara utuh melalui aksi keseimbangan antara kepentingan perseorangan dengan kepentingan umum. Begitu juga upaya menghormati, melindungi, dan menjunjung tinggi HAM menjadi kewajiban dan tanggung jawab bersama antara individu, pemerintah (Aparatur Pemerintahan baik Sipil maupun Militer) dan Negara.
“Dengan adanya kerjasama dan koordinasi para penyelanggara Negara di daerah, diharapkan dapat memberi penguatan implementasi Hak Asasi Manusia di Provinsi Lampung. Pemerintah Provinsi Lampung mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Kementerian Hukum dan HAM RI yang telah merespon dan merealisasikan kerjasama antara Pemerintah Provinsi Lampung dalam rangka penghormatan, pemenuhan perlindungan penegakan dan pemajuan Hak Asasi Manusia yang dalam hal ini diwakili oleh Direktorat Jenderal HAM beserta jajarannya,” ujar Theresia.
Dilain pihak Direktur Jenderal Hak Asasi Manusia dalam sambutannya menyampaikan kepada Gubernur Lampung dan segenap jajaran Pemerintah Daerah Provinsi Lampung, yang telah berkenan untuk membangun dan meningkatkan kerjasama dengan Kementerian Hukum dan HAM. Hal ini sebagaimana telah dirumuskan dalam Nota Kesepahaman antara Direktorat Jenderal Hak Asasi Manusia Kementerian Hukum dan HAM dan Pemerintah Provinsi Lampung.
“Kita sudah memulai gerakan revolusi mental kepada masyarakat, khususnya kepada generasi muda. Sehingga generasi muda mampu melepaskan diri dari jebakan degradasi mental yang membuat bangsa kita semakin terpuruk dalam kehidupan global,” ujarnya.
Lebih lanjut Dirjen HAM mengharapkan Nota Kesepahaman dapat segera ditindaklanjuti dengan program dan kegiatan yang manfaatnya dapat dirasakan oleh seluruh masyarakat, khususnya di Provinsi Lampung.
Ditambahkan Karo Humas dan Protokol Bayana acara ditutup oleh Penandatanganan dan Pemukulan Gong sebanyak 5 kali sesuai dengan 5 Pilar dari Pancasila oleh Staf Ahli Bidang Pemerintahan, Hukum dan Politik Theresia Sormin, Dirjen HAM Mualimin Abdi dan Kepala Kantor Wilayah Kemenkumham Bambang Haryono.
